大阪府茨木市の山間部に位置する千提寺。
豊かな自然が残っているこの地域は、フランシスコ・ザビエルの肖像画が発見された隠れキリシタンの里として知られています。
この千提寺の竹林の中にひっそりと佇んでいるのが現代風竪穴住居「まだま村」です。直径１２メートル、高さ１１メートルの円錐型をした建物は、柱に２００年前の民家２０軒分の古材を、屋根材には琵琶湖の葦を使用しています。
建物の内部は囲炉裏や舞台があり、地面から１メートル掘り下げた土間（三和土）は最大１８０名ほど収容できる空間です。
普段はのんびりと過ごせるカフェとして、ときにはライブや講演会などのイベントスペースとして、幅広くご利用いただいております。
まだま村は憩いの場所。 自分が自分に戻れる場所。 人と人とがつながる場所です。 お一人でのんびりもＯＫ、お友達、 恋人、ご家族、 おじいちゃんおばあちゃん、みんなを連れてホーッとしに来てください。

Madamamura which is built in a style used during the prehistoric JOMON period.The house is constructed with recycled old woods.
Madamamura is located in 'Sendaiji' in the northern part of Ibaraki City. This part of Osaka Pref.has a nostalgic feeling due to its continuous fields and rice paddies located on rolling hills.The district is also known as 'Hidden Village of Christians'.This sacred and mysterious area is the home to ancient burial mounds and historical ruins.
After traveling down a road that goes through a grove of bomboo tress that Sway in the breeze,you will arrive at a thatch roofed structure with earthen Walls. That is Madamamura.
